dc.description.abstract This article is a missiological response to the migration and homelessness challenges, especially issues of socio-economic and political marginalisation, as experienced by foreign nationals in the City of Tshwane. The most pressing question which this article seeks to investigate is: “What action can faith communities in diaspora take to contribute towards the regeneration of their host city?” Using literature study and a contextual Bible reading of Jeremiah 29:1–7 from the lenses of both trained and ordinary readers, this article encourages faith communities in diaspora to actively participate in seeking the shalom and well-being of their host city by praying and working towards urban renewal. en_US
