In recent years, the growth of technology and the rapid developments in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), have transformed the way people interact with government entities. This article is geared towards examining the sustainability of Digital Government in the Gauteng provincial government of South Africa. Electronic services (e-Services), are part of the provincial government’s department of eGovernment. Both the short-term and long-term plans for electronic services provision in the Gauteng provincial government are assessed by the researcher. The proposed framework will look at three key thematic areas: Governance, Organizational and Managerial, as well as Citizen’s factors in relation to digital government. |
